Last Sunday, Plaza 66, a high-end mall in central Shanghai’s West Nanjing Road has officially resumed offline business in Shanghai, and nearly 20 stores in the mall were open to customers.

At 12 o’clock at noon, the gate of the mall reopened after being closed for nearly two months. As the customers are greeted with “welcome back”, they could enter the mall after scanning “Digital Sentinel” QR code and have their body temperature taken, before starting a long-lost shopping experience.

At present, nearly 20 stores on different floors have resumed offline business, accounting for nearly 20% of the total stores in the mall. Various COVID prevention measures have been put in place, including the full coverage of “Venue Codes”, dynamic detection of passenger flow, and timely implementation of flow limiting measures when there are too many customers.

Zhang Linna, GM of 66 Plaza, said that every hour, the cleaners will regularly disinfect public spots such as handrails, elevator buttons and handles. The current business hours of Plaza 66 are from 12 at noon to 6 in the afternoon.
