Illegal Trade: Illegal vehicles, goods and timbers seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 19th, 20th and 21st of May, 13 abandoned vehicles, non-FDA approved COVID-19 protective equipment, illegal construction lenses, undeclared electronic products and utensils and illegal timbers were seized at the Myanmar International Port (Thilawa), at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Terminal and in Bago District.

In total, illegal vehicles, goods and timbers worth over 251 million Kyats were seized on the 19th, 20th and 21st of May. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
