Shanghai Huashan Hospital Reopens Outpatient Clinic Amid Pandemic

In order to meet the residents’ demand for medical treatment during the current COVID-19 wave, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission requires medical institutions to fully resume medical services wherever possible. Although there are relatively fewer patients now, their conditions are often more urgent. At present, the endoscopy, radiology, ultrasound and other examination departments and outpatient clinics of Huashan Hospital are all open, and the number of consultations has also increased compared to the past few weeks. In the past three days, Huashan Hospital has received nearly 8,000 outpatients in all branches, which is about 1/3 of the usual number of patients.
