Japanese PM meets Vietnamese leaders

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met his Vietnamese Cunterpart Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on Sunday.

During the meeting, the Vietnamese counterpart said Vietnam sees Japan among its top priority partners and is comprehensively depending the already extensive strategic partnership.

Hanoi is the second leg of Kishida's eight-day tour including Indonesia, Thailand, Italy and the United Kingdom.

The visit comes as Vietnam and Japan celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. Japan is Vietnam's largest government donor.
