Xi said "more hard efforts" needed to win the fight against pandemic

China's President Xi Jinping mentioned "more hard efforts" are needed to win the fight against the coronavirus.

Xi's comments came in a video shown Thursday at an international forum on the southern island province of Hainan.He stressed the need to work together to defend people's lives and health as safety and health are the prerequisite for human development and progress. He said it is essential that countries support each other, better coordinate response measures and improve global public health governance so as to form a strong international synergy against the pandemic.
