China TV: FM Wang Yi calls for Ukraine cease-fire

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi called for a ceasefire from both sides in Ukraine, on Sunday. He made his comments during a joint news conference with his visiting Algerian counterpart.

CCTV cited Wang saying "NATO's unrestricted eastward expansion deserves reflection", shifting blame for the war to Western countries. Wang also renewed China's criticism of sanctions imposed on Russia over the military operation, saying "escalating unilateral sanctions against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic will disrupt global industrial and supply chains."
