Monastic education system: Meeting of CSCMES at State Priyatti Sasana University (Ygn)

The meeting of the Central Supervisory Committee of Monastic Education System was held at the convocation hall of the State Priyatti Sasana University (Yangon) on Monday. First, the member of State Sangha Nayaka Committee, Baddanta Nagita gave an admonishment speech.    

In his report on the religious affairs, the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko said that the monastric education system is beneficial for the Sasana as well as the country and the nationals. In addition, it facilitates the education vision of school aged children for enabling to go school and it’s an education system with traditional way without contradition witn the education policies of the government.

The chairman of the state administration council said to support the monastric schools and give the special encouragement to the monastic education system at the SAC meeting (10/2021). During the tenure of the present government, the teachers of the monastic school were given increment of  cash assistance at 50%.

Next, the director-general of the Department for Promotion and Propagation of Sasana U Soe Min Tun clarified the completion of the tasks regarding with the 27th meeting of the Central Supervisory Committee of Monastic Education System, providing cash assistance for the teachers of the monastic schools in the regions and states monthly as of January, 2022.

Then, the members of the Supervisory Committee of Monastic Education System attended from the regions and states took part in the coordinative discussions  and the responsible officials replied the discussions.

Afterward, the the member of State Sangha Nayaka Committee, Baddanta Nagita gave delivered a speech of conclusion and the Union Minister U Ko Ko presented offertories to the members of the Supervisory Committee of Monastic Education System attended from the regions and states.
