Regional Development: Industrial Zone Project in Wa Self-Administered Division

A new industrial zone is being initiated in Wa Self-Administered Division. The project will be implemented on 100-acre land plot in ShweWah Village-tract in the town of Hopan.

At present, the first phase of land preparations is being undertaken. On 4th March, Chairman of Wa Self-Administered Division Administration Council U Nyi Nut and officials inspected the progress of works.

The project includes the industrial zone, cold storage, crops warehouse, shops, futsal ground, playground, terminal, rural dispensary, banking services, electricity supply and solar power as well as other regional development programs.

The project will be carried out step by step by laying down the work plans.
