Development Works in Monywa: Pagoda Renovation Works and University Archive Inspected

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, together with the officials, on 27th February, visited YarPyae KatKyaw Pagoda in Kanthaya Kyun of Monywa. Officials reported on the renovation works of the pagoda and construction of the retaining wall.

The Chief Minister provided the requirements and inspected the work undertakings. The Chief Minister and party later visited Sutaung Pyae Pagoda in the compound of Monywa University and donated 1 million kyats for the pagoda.

The later went to the university’s archive and inspected the preparations works for the display of ancient religious and cultural items, collected in the region. The Chief Minister urged officials to carry out the tasks for long term conservation of the ancient heritages.
