Japan's Defense Minister said on Sunday that North Korea fired at least one ballistic missile from its western coast.

Nobuo Kishi made those remarks in Tokyo after both Japanese and South Korean officials claimed that the suspected ballistic missile had been launched into the sea earlier that day. He also said that the launches "threatens the peace and safety" for his region and the world. The launch was the eighth of its kind this year.
