COVID-19 Update: 2,938 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On February 24

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 2,938 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 28,486 patients within 24 hours. 4 patients have died due to the disease while 1,350 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 578,446 with 19,353 deaths and 528,717 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:23pm CET, 24 February 2022, there have been over 428 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.91 million deaths.
