COVID-19 Update: 3,058 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On February 18

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 3,058 new COVID-19 cases with one death at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 32,872 patients within 24 hours. 3 patients died from COVID-19 and 805 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 559,314 with 19,322 deaths and 521,609 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Germany, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:20 pm CET on 18 February, there have been over 418 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.85 million deaths.
