COVID-19 Update: 2,692 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On February 17

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 2,692 new COVID-19 cases with one death at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 31,824 patients within 24 hours. 1 patients died from COVID-19 and 712 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 556,256 with 19,319 deaths and 520,804 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Germany, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:44 pm CET on 17 February, there have been over 416 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.84 million deaths.
