Beijing residents queue to buy Games-themed stamps

Customers purchased exclusive Beijing Winter Olympics-themed postage stamps and envelopes on Saturday after the Games got under way in full. The limited-edition memorabilia were on sale at a China Post counter inside the event's main Media Centre.

In total, China Post is issuing 11.5 million stamps at select post offices in the capital until Sunday. The two-day sale of the merchandise commemorates the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Games.  Some stamps and envelopes are limited to five sets per person.
