
The Ministry of Health reported 278 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 8,290 lab specimens within 24 hours. 80 COVID-19 positive patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 535,532 with 513,273 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospitals.
Even though there is no new death of COVID-19 positive patient on 31st January, it’s found out that the percentage of confirmed cases slightly increases.
The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 73.53 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, France, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:57 p.m. Central European Time on January 31st, 2022, there have been over 373.22 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.65 million deaths, reported to WHO.
The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
