





Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Friday ceremonially opened the Livestock Show and Competition to mark the 75th Anniversary of Union Day.
In his address at SetSetYo Ground in Pobba Thiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, the Senior General stressed importance of agriculture and livestock sectors for the country’s economic development, agricultural products export to China, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia and cattle export to China, Thailand and Bangladesh since 2017.
He also highlighted meat consumption amount in the country and called for efforts for modern livestock farming and safe products. Also, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo explained objectives of the Show and Competition. The Senior General also viewed the Show and Competition and exhibition booths.
This Livestock Show and Competition aims for promoting the livestock animals breeding industry by developing the animal feeding plants cultivation method, promoting export of meat and dairy products by securing food sufficiency locally, expanding market penetration through networking among the breeders, socio-economic development and boosting production. This event is set to be held till the 30th of January.
