Inspections In Shan State: Union Minister Stresses Resumption Of Projects

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than inspected the District Industry Supervision and Inspection Department in Taunggyi of Shan State.

He also met with concerned officials, heard report on work processes, provided cash assistance for administration process and coordinated the matters presented. The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to the No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) and heard report on preparations for resumption of projects and plans.

In his response, the Union Minister stressed cooperation and plans to successfully implement the projects timely, plan to appoint necessary officials and staff to reoperate the Mill, work safety, human resources development, environmental conservation and life-long learning.

The Union Minister also highlighted importance of industries registration in line with the law and by-law and called on inspectors to hold relevant certificates. Also, he called for efforts for serving the duties and work safety inspections before pledging to provide technology, investment and skilled workers for industrial development. The Union Minister also inspected railway construction to carry the steel products from No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) and preparations to reoperate projects and maintenance works.
