Beijing airport prepares to receive Olympic teams

Athletes and officials from countries participating the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games start arriving from Friday, CCTV said. Nine flights from cities including London, Moscow, Tokyo and Istanbul are scheduled to land at a pointed zone of Terminal 3 at Beijing Capital International Airport, said CCTV.  

All the immigration officers and police staff working at checkpoints would follow the rule of "7+7+7", which means 7 days on duty, 7 days of isolation and observation and 7 days of health monitoring, according to CCTV. Participants of the Winter Olympics which will open February 4, will be strictly isolated in the sealed-off "bubbles" from the general population and could face expulsion for violating COVID-19 restrictions.
