





The final match and prize awarding ceremony of Regions and States U-25 Women Football Competition organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs was held in the afternoon on January 21 in line with the COVID-19 containment measures at the WunnaTheiddi Football Ground, Nay Pyi Taw and the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attended and supported the games.
Also present at the match were the SAC members and their wives, SAC joint-secretary and wife, chairmen of State Constitutional Tribunal and Union Election Commission and their wives, Union Ministers and their wives, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, director-generals and departmental officials, officers and other ranks and family members of battalions and military units under the Nay Pyi Taw Command and football fans.
The final match was played by Rakhine and Shan States Women Football Teams and the Rakhine State Team beat their opponent Shan State Team with 3-2 goals. Afterward, the SAC members awarded the medals and cash prizes to the best goal keeper and best players of the places.
Then, SAC member Lt. Gen. Moe Myint Tun awarded cash prize to the fourth prize winner Yangon Region Team, SAC member Admiral Tin Aung San presented individual medals and cash prize to the Third prize winner Mon State Team, SAC member Daw Aye Nu Sein awarded individual medals and cash prize to the second prize winner Shan State Team and SAC member General Mya Tun Oo awarded individual medals to the players of first prize winner Rakhine State Team.
Afterward, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla awarded the cash prize and championship shield to the Champion Rakhine State team. The Regions and States U-25 Women Football Competition was held from 7th to 21st January and competed by 13 teams comprised of 289 players.
