Awareness Workshop: MoST conducted ISO 9004:2018 Awareness Workshop

The Ministry of Science and Technology conducted a workshop on “ISO 9004:2018 Quality Management- Quality of an organization-Guidance to achieve sustained success” for the capacity enhancement of the personnel under the ministry was held at the ministry through Virtual Mode at 1 p.m. on 20th January and the Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw gave an opening speech.

In his opening speech, the union minister said that the standardization plays an important role for the strengthening of national quality on infrastructure. It’s crucial to be able to apply the standards and understand the descriptions on the standards.

By conducting ISO 9004:2018 workshops and trainings, the processes to be implemented can be realized in the implementation of Quality Management- Quality of an organization-Guidance to achieve sustained success, enabling for the assessment of the maturity level of organization using Self-Assessment Tool and scrutinizing the weakness and strength and implementing further development.

The efforts are needed to put to apply such experiences practically. The workshop was attended nearly 100 participants including director-generals, deputy director-generals and officers from 7 departments under the ministry, it’s reported.
