
The Ministry of Health reported 163 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 10,858 lab specimens within 24 hours. One COVID-19 positive patient has died while 147 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 533,604 with 19,306 deaths and 511,630 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 66.25 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, France, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Germany according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:52 p.m. Central European Time on January 19th, 2022, there have been over 332.61 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.55 million deaths, reported to WHO.
