Reopening Of Lweje: China-Myanmar Border Trade Post Lweje Reopened

For the collective efforts put by the officials from the relevant departments of both sides of Myanmar and China, China-Myanmar border trade post Lweje was reopened on 17th January after closing for six months temporarily for the containment of COVID-19 pandemic. 

During the test opening period, the sugar cane and tissue banana will be exported from Myanmar and fertilizers, textile products and household items will be exported by China.

The vehicles trapped during the closing period will be given priority in transportation, according to press release of Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
