Deadly landslide at construction site in Guizhou

A landslide at a construction site in southwestern China has killed 14 people and injured three others, media reports said Tuesday.

Xinhua News Agency said more than 1,000 people joined the overnight rescue effort after the landslip on Monday evening in the city of Bijie, in Guizhou province. Workers were building a training facility for a hospital at the site. Mountainous, inland Guizhou is one of China's least developed regions.  The cause of the landslide was under investigation.
