Regional plans: Coordination meeting on drawing estimated budget held

The Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States Chief Ministers and Ministers for Economic Affairs discussed at the coordination meeting on drawing the estimated budget under regional planning for 2022-2023 fiscal year held via Virtual System at the Ministry of Planning and Finance, Nay Pyi Taw on October 26.

At the meeting, the Union Minister U Win Shein said that the regional project to be based for drawing the estimated budget under regional planning for 2022-2023 fiscal year, to draw five year plan from 2022-2023 to 2026-2027, the 5 year union national planning framework has been discussed with union level organizations and union ministries based on the five future programs and nine objectives of the state administration council after reviewing the previously drew National Comprehensive Development Plan-NCDP and Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan – MSDP.

The regions and states regional planning framework adaptable for the aforesaid framework will be drafted and the objectives and work plans of the five years plan linking the prospective industries at the regions under the regional plans, the prioritizing requirements, the work plans to be implemented and agreed with the neighboring countries and the sustainable development plans.

The deputy minister for Daw Than Than Lin and U Maung Maung Win clarified the status of drawing 2022-2023 to 2026-2027, the 5 year union national planning framework regarding with the drawing the estimated budget under regional planning for 2022-2023 fiscal year and the drawing budget, the condition of providing deficit budget to the regions and states and the matters on loans.

The chief ministers and ministers for economic affairs reported the works plans in respective regions and states, the matters needed the coordination by the union and the status to be implemented in time by the regions and states. The union minister U Win Shein responded to the discussions.
