COVID-19 Update: 1,514 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 14

The Ministry of Health reported 1,514 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 18,692 lab specimens within 24 hours. 33 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,279 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 484,317 with 18,255 deaths and 436,640 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 44.31 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:08 p.m. Central European Summer Time on October 14th, 2021, there have been over 239.007 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.87 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
