Stay-at-Home Order: Zabuthiri, Pyinmana, Taungoo, Bago and Pyay townships

The Ministry of Health and Sports announced the Order No. 276.

It states that the people residing in Zabuthiri and Pyinmana townships of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory and Taungoo, Bago and Pyay townships of Bago Region have been involved in the Stay-at-Home programme due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases.

The people from those townships need to reside at homes except the government employees and staff from banks, monetary services, filling stations, foodstuffs, livestock, fishery, cold storage, medicine and medical equipment production and distribution, purified water production and sales, daily personal goods and related industries, airlines, general aviation transport services, ground services, fuel services, aviation export and import services, international freight forwarder companies, boarding foodstuff production and transport services, aircraft maintenance, private ports, shipping agencies, international freight forwarder companies, customer service companies and agencies, container truck services, port export and import cargo trucks and watercraft, inland container depot and dry ports and communication service providers.

Therefore, the rest organizations and companies have to perform their works from homes, and, only one person from each house to go out shopping and only two to go to hospitals or clinics and to wear masks if they go outside, only office buses and registered vehicles to transport returnees from workplaces to pass the wards, one person only in addition to the driver in a vehicle for shopping in the ward and two persons except for the driver to go to hospitals or clinics, trucks to abide by the standard operating procedures to ensure the smooth flow of commodities, people need to inform relevant ward/village administration bodies to seek approvals to go outside the houses.

The Ministry also urged the relevant region and state administration councils to issue necessary orders and directives and to supervise for the prevention of COVID-19 infection. Legal actions will be taken against those who fail to abide by the order.
