Social Work Affairs: Meeting for Establishment of Social Work Institute

Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held the 2nd meeting for establishment of Social Work Institute.

In the meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing stressed need of Social Work Institute to turn out skilled social service personnel while the ministry has already made cooperation to get a plot of land to establish the Institute.

She also highlighted discussions with partner countries and need for efforts to approve curriculum. Calling for cooperation and discussions, the Union Minister said that it takes time to fulfil educational and human resource requirement.

Also, Deputy Minister U Aung Tun Khaing and attendees discussed requirements, preparations, formation of technical work group, leading committee, work committee and sub committees, curriculums for 3-month training and 1-year diploma courses and plans. The meeting concluded with remarks from the Union Minister.
