Hotel and Tourism: Union Minister inspected hotels in Meiktila and Pyin Oo Lwin

Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism U Maung Maung Ohn together with the departmental officials on 4th June inspected Meiktila Hotel operating in line with the COVID-19 preventive measures in Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region.

Next, the Union Minister proceeded to Wunzin hotel and the responsible person clarified the current status of hotel operation and the services rendering the travellers. Regarding the clarification, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions including addressing the COVID-19 preventive measures, giving COVID-19 vaccines to the hotel staffs and the arrangements for security etc.

Later, the Union Minister continued to Pyin Oo Lwin, inspected Gandama Myaing, Thiri Myaing Hotels which have been operating by leasing the land and properties in long term owned by the ministry of hotel and tourism and gave necessary instructions including to carry out the clean and pleasurable environment within and outside of the hotels and to comply with the terms and conditions in the lease agreement contract with the ministry, it’s learnt.
