Fishermen rescued from ice on Lake Superior

The Duluth, Minnesota fire department says it used boats on Tuesday to rescue 26 fishermen. The men were fishing on a large block of ice on Lake Superior when it broke away from the shoreline.

A statement from the Duluth Fire Department says multiple rescue boats were used, and it took less than an hour to bring all of the fishermen safely to shore. Assistant Fire Chief says Duluth has seen similar situations.
