United Nations head receives first vaccine dose

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in New York on Thursday.

 United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres said "I'm very grateful to the city of New York and to this wonderful staff here in Adlai E Stevenson school in the Bronx, for the vaccine I just got. And to say how important it is for everybody, everywhere, to be vaccinated, and my appeal is for all to take profits of the opportunities that exist and be vaccinated as soon as they can. And I want to express my gratitude to the city of New York, for having included the UN staff and the diplomats in their vaccination program."

Earlier, Guterres told reporters his message for 2021 is one of hope and determination.
