Argentina's Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner received her first dose of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine on Sunday. The former twice president, 67, received her shot of the vaccine at the President Peron Hospital in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires. Afterwards, Argentina's Vice President wrote on her personal Twitter account that having her first shot of the vaccine meant she was not just taking care of herself but also taking care of others. During the first stage of Argentina's vaccination campaign, which started last month, authorities will prioritize the immunization of health workers, members of the security forces, those affected with pre-existing diseases, teachers, and people over 60.
