Russia started a mass vaccination campaign across the country on Monday. Vaccination against COVID-19 was offered for free and can be administered in any region. Priority is given to the elderly, patients with chronic diseases, and those who work in public area. Vaccines have been delivered in remote areas of Russia as well, including Siberia and the Far East. The largest consignment of Sputnik-V vaccines, almost 7000 doses, has been delivered to the Ural region and distributed around the hospitals and medical facilities. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Russia has exceeded 3.5 million, with 66,037 fatalities.
