Heavy blanket of snow covers parts of north Italy

Heavy snowfalls covered mountainous areas of northern Italy over the weekend. Italian firefighters said they carried out more than 100 operations to clear roads from the snow. Cars in Santo Stefano Di Cadore, in the north alpine province of Belluno, were entirely covered in snow. In another part of Italy's northern Veneto region, firemen rescued a family that was stuck in a remote area using a snowcat.
