Jill Biden assembles care packages for US troops

Dr. Jill Biden joined Lloyd Austin, her husband's nominee for Secretary of Defense, in assembling holiday care packages for American service personnel stationed overseas.

The future first lady and Austin participated in Operation Gratitude in Washington, D.C. The organization is a non-profit, which connects Americans to the U.S. military, as well as first responders, through volunteer service projects, such as care package assembly efforts, collection drives, letter writing campaigns and other service projects.
