Trump says Russia and Ukraine want war to end

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday Washington continues sharing intelligence with Ukraine and believes both Russia and Ukraine want to end the war, as he discusses Iran, the Houthis and other foreign policy issues.

Trump said both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy want the conflict to end, but have struggled to find a way forward. He also said the United States will make a decision on Iran soon, claiming Washington controls the Strait of Hormuz.

On the Houthis, Trump said the group has been behaving badly but declines to disclose whether he has decided on further military action. Trump also defended a Russian oil deal, saying it is intended to supply the global market rather than benefit the United States directly.
