Returnees From Thailand: 465 Myanmar Migrant Workers Returned Home From Thailand

A total of 465 Myanmar migrant workers returned home through Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge (2) of Myawady border town in Kayin State on 30th June. 465 persons returned home in their own arrangement from various parts of the Thailand with the approval of Myanmar embassy there.

Moreover, 75 persons who were the victims of human trafficking under various circumstances also repatriated. The returnees were picked up in express buses by the district level responsible officials to the Mae Sot.

Those will be sent to the quarantine centers at the respective regions and states after conducting medical tests. From 1st to 30th June, a total of 37,018 Myanmar migrant workers returned home through the Myawady Friendship Bridge (2) in Myawady.
