Preventive Measures: MSWRR Provides Assistance To IDP Camps

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, in cooperation with the departmental concerned and organizations, is implementing for prevention, control and response of COVID-19 disease among the internal displaced persons at IDP camps.

On Monday, the Ministry provided 10 hand wash basins, 2 vinyl sheets, 4 thermometers, 1,668 surgical masks, 2 memory sticks recording vocie message on COVID-19 awareness, 2 hand speakers, over 8,000 cloth masks, 1,668 hand sanitizers, 20 lime sacks and over 6,000 soaps to 3 IDP camps in Waing Maw and Mansi Townships, Kachin State. On Sunday, over 35,000 soaps were provided to 3 IDP camps in Sittway Township, Rakhine State.

The Ministry is also carrying out awareness activities and counselling tasks for the public at all regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
