U.S. COVID-19 cases exceed 2.54 million, deaths over 125,000

in the United States, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases surpassed 2.54 million as of Sunday night, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

Meanwhile, the national death toll of COVID-19 rose to 125,768, according to the CSSE. New York remains the hardest-hit state with 31,397 deaths. According to the data released by Arizona State, a total of 3,857 new confirmed cases on COVID-19 were reported in the state in the past 24 hours, hitting a record high since the outbreak.
