Relief Flight: 143 Myanmar Nationals Brought Back Home On Thursday

143 Myanmar nationals who stranded in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain arrived at Yangon International Airport by relief flight of Myanmar Airways International via Doha International Airport on Thursday.

The officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports, and the Yangon Region government helped for their 21-day quarantine period at the designated places and the respective hotels in line with the regulations of immigration and medical checks at the airport.

As per the directives of National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is arranging repatriation of Myanmar citizens who are stranding in foreign countries through coordination with the relevant embassies and the respective Ministries in Myanmar.

It is learnt that a total of 5,036 Myanmar citizens have been brought back home till now.
