Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall on Monday held a joint video call with children's hospices in the UK to mark Children's Hospice Week. The royals spoke in a zoom call with chief executives of two hospices in the UK, as well as with a recently bereaved family whose son received end-of-life care at an East Anglia hospice.
During the call, the Duchess of Cornwall described the nurses and carers who work in hospices as 'the most wonderful people', who she said inspire happiness. Kate spoke with Stuie Delf, whose brother Fraser received end of life care at an East Anglia hospice before he died. Stuie told the Duchess that he had been covering 5km every day in the month of May to raise money, inspired by Britain's Captain Tom Moore, the veteran whose sponsored walks have raised millions for the NHS.
