Exchanged Fire: BGP Members And ARSA Group Exchanged Fire Near Border

The Border Guard Police Force engaged ARSA terrorist group in Maungtaw Township, left two deaths and two arms seized from ARSA and two members of BGP wounded.

While conducting security measures by a group of border guard police force led by police lance corporal Min Naing Oo between border posts (34) and (35) at about 4:30 PM on Thursday engaged gun fire with a group of ARSA terrorist group constituted with 25 members departed from Mee Daik Village headed to the border fence. At about 5 PM, the terrorist group retreated to the Mee Daik Village.

In the incident, two corpses put on guerrilla uniform from ARSA group, two arms including one M 16 and one BA 94, bullets and two magazines were seized.

Two police members sustained wounds of small weapon were admitted to Taungpyo station hospital and given medical treatment.
