


A training course for volunteers was conducted in HlaingBwe Township of Kayin State on 3rd June.
The training was organized by Township Social Welfare Department, Myanmar Medical Association and Township Red Cross Society.
The training aims for the volunteers to understand well about the knowledge dos and don'ts systematically in providing assistance to the returnees.
Chairman, HlaingBwe Township Red Cross Society, Dr. Myint Thein Tun said “The returnees in Kayin State are monitoring at the community base facility quarantines, opened at the schools. We have about 70 volunteer youths who participate in these process.”
One of the volunteers said the training will provide effective knowledge in carrying out the rescue works.
Chairman, Myanmar Rescue Organization (HlaingBwe Township), Lin Lin said “During COVID-19 outbreak, we carry out disinfection tasks in the community wards. This training could help to carry out our rescue works more effectively.”
Duties of volunteers, communications, the role of volunteers in the respond of COVID-19, prevention measures and systematically wearing of PPE were conducted at the training.
