Relief Aid: SWRR Ministry Providing Aid To Strong Wind Victims

Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement has been providing relief aid to strong wind and hailstone victims. Over 761.1 million Kyats have so far been provided to the victims across the country.

In Myanmar, from the 9th of April to the 1st of June, 987 houses and 6 religious buildings were totally destroyed while 13,121 houses and 247 religious buildings were partially destroyed – 10 deaths were reported and 28 other people were injured due to the strong winds and hailstones.
