
China's largest outdoor classical music festival was staged in Shanghai on Saturday. Themed on "Towards Brightness," the festival was staged in the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden. The festival was opened with the Prelude of Don Juan. The Pianist and his mentor played the piano concerto The Yellow River with the Shanghai Opera House Orchestra and chorus, to mark the 50th anniversary of its premiere.
They alternated piano playing and orchestra conducting on stage. The festival is dedicated to public wellbeing, and it invited representatives of medical teams from Shanghai to assist Hubei Province, police, volunteers, community workers, sanitation workers and their families to enjoy the show on the spot. As the night fell, the music festival closed in the splendor of Ode to Joy in Beethoven's Symphony No. 9.
