Light show staged in Wuhan to honor heroes in coronavirus lockdown

A midnight lightshow brightens up Wuhan's sky on Wednesday as the central Chinese city enters the first day post-lockdown to honor heroes in the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Wuhan has been at the front line of China's battle against the novel coronavirus. Since the lockdown was imposed 76 days ago on January 23, health workers from other regions across China had come to aid the city to overcome the outbreak. The names of these provinces were also displayed in colorful lights to show Wuhan's gratitude.
