COVID-19 Prevention: Disease Control Measures Conducted In South Oakkalapa Township

For the prevention and control of coronavirus disease, disinfectant spraying and monitoring to the returnees from abroad are being conducted in South Oakkalapa Township by forming a committee, according to the South Oakkalapa Township Constituency-1 Regional Hluttaw Representative Daw Thit Thit Myint.

The Regional Hluttaw representative said that disinfectant spraying is being conducted at Ngwe Kyar Yan monastery and 7 items including rice and oil are being sold for the people.

Regional Hluttaw Representative, South Oakkalapa Township Constituency-1, Thit Thit Myint said “We have arranged to disinfect at Ngwe Kyar Yan Pariyatti monastery. We also arrange to sell 7 items such as rice and edible oil to those who are not easily accessible for transportation in the township. We also cooperate with the ward administrative bodies for monitoring the returnees from abroad in the wards.”

She also added that the Township Development Committee also announced that the restaurants and food shops in South Oakkalapa Township are permitted to sell food to carry out and delivery only and no on-site consumption permitted for the customers. She also said they are checking the restaurants and food stalls follows the instruction or not.

The Committee for the prevention and control of COVID-19 has been formed with Pyithu Hluttaw and Regional Hluttaw representatives and township officials.
