


The ASEAN’s largest building technology exposition “Architect’20” with the theme “Refocus Heritage” was introduced in Yangon, Thursday.
Organized by the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage (ASA) and N.C.C Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. (NEO), the 34th Architect Exposition aims to promote new approach on architectural heritage and conservation.
Deputy General Manager, N.C.C Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd., Duangrat Udomsomporn said “We help a lot to connect all the architects within the region, especially in the ASEAN to come together in one big community…..So, we think that to connect the architects from Myanmar and the other people from the other related industries, all the stakeholders who can plan to visit the fair…it will create with the opportunities to join hand together, to exchange the knowledge, to get the new trends in the near future.”
This year, the 75,000-square meter wide Expo in Thailand will include 850 exhibitors from about 30 countries with different exhibitions including workmanship and heritage exhibition, heritage crisis on online platform exhibition and the annual architecture competition, ASA forum and many other activities.
Deputy General Manager, N.C.C Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd., Duangrat Udomsomporn said “Within your country that lots of old buildings, actually you have valuable beautiful culture. So, our theme this year will help you a new technique of how can preserve your old buildings to renovate and can be true story to attract the tourist people to visit you country.”
Thailand offers special packages and benefits for the oversea trade visitors, visitors and buyers as the oversea visitor promotion of this year.
Joint Secretary General, UMFCCI, Myo Thant said “Thailand is good at handicraft, design, architecture and of course interior decoration and so on. This event is called Myanmar road show which is to highlight Thailand’s oversea visitor promotion. The Architect’20 is kind of exhibition industry hub of ASEAN which include international organizers. So, Myanmar people need to visit there to learn the international trends and should create collaboration with new partners.”
The Architect’20 Expo is set to be held from the 28th of April to the 3rd of May, 2020 at IMPACT Exhibition Centre in Bangkok of Thailand.
