Ukrainian passenger plane with 176 aboard crashes after take-off from Iranian airport

A Boeing 737 passenger plane belonging to Ukrainian airline with 176 aboard crashed shortly after taking off from the Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA). All the 167 passengers and nine crew members on board the Boeing 737 Ukrainian passenger plane are confirmed dead, official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported on Wednesday. Among the victims, many are children. The plane belonged to the Ukrainian International Airlines. It was bound for Kiev and crashed in Parand district, southern Tehran, several minutes after taking off, according to the IRNA.
