Youth Round Table Discussion: To improve the talents and skills of young people

Jointly organized by the Information and Public Relations Department and the Basic Education Department, a youth round table discussion was held at the Practising High School of Yangon Institute of Education (TTC) in Kamayut Township. The outstanding students who won the Luyechun awards participated in the discussion.

Dr. Thwe Thwe Oo, Headmistress, Practicing High School (Kamayut) said "By holding the round table discussion, the students can gain knowledge and such kind of events should be held because the students can share their idea, experiences and knowledge among each other. In the discussion, an outstanding student who was selected as Luyechun and went to Japan representing Myanmar includes in the discussion. Other students can also acquire knowledge from him."

6 topics such as youth and health, youth and technology, youth and sports, youth and literature and youth and culture were discussed in the event to improve talents of the youths.

Aung Kaung Pyae, Grade-11, Practicing High School (Kamayut) said "In youth and technology, we need to study how to use proficiently computer. We use phones on playing games, social media and other essential works. By using phones, we can read the books that we want through internet. By holding discussion, we can exchange our experiences and we can share our point of views. "

Eainda Nilar Tun, Grade-11, Practicing High School (Kamayut) said "I discuss that the youths should study since they are young by giving examples. In the old and new education system, I think, the new education system focuses more thinking and practical works. We should have round table discussions and extempore talks in Myanmarsar subject to develop more our academic affairs. "

Kaung Sithu, Grade-9, Practicing High School (Kamayut) said "I discuss the topic “Youth and Sports” how the sports is important for a youth and improving his or her life. Through team works and cooperation, how the youths can benefit to the state."

According to the Principal of the Practising High School of Yangon Institute of Education (TTC), they have a plan to hold such kind of discussions more in the future.
