Youth Awareness Talk: MOYA UM delivered the opening remarks

A youth awareness talk jointly organized by the Myanmar Central Committee for Youth Affairs and the Nay Pyi Taw Council was held Tuesday morning at Basic Education High School No. 6, Zabuthiri Township under the theme “Youth and the Future Development of the Nation.”

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Maung Thin, Vice Chairman (1) of the Central Committee for Youth Affairs and Union Minister for Youth Affairs, who delivered the opening remarks. In his speech, Dr. Maung Thin said that young people are the leaders and hope of society, and therefore they need to possess the qualities and capabilities worthy of leadership.

He also encouraged them to become reliable citizens upon whom the nation and society can depend in order to fulfill the expectations of the people. He then donated sports equipment to Basic Education High School No. 6, Zabuthiri. Afterwards, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Kan Myint Than, delivered welcoming remarks and donated teaching aids and a cash contribution of one million kyats to the school.

The donation was accepted by the principal, Daw May Yin Mon. Following this, U Kan Myint Than presented a commemorative gift to U Aung Myo Thant, a youth representative and entrepreneur from the Nay Pyi Taw Council Youth Affairs Committee, who would be giving the youth awareness talk.

Next, U Aung Myo Thant, gave a lecture on the topic “Youth and the Future Development of the Nation.” After the talk, Director U Kyi Soe Lin from the Nay Pyi Taw Youth Affairs Department conducted a quiz session for the students. Students who answered correctly were awarded prizes by the Union Minister and Deputy Minister, after which the ceremony concluded, it’s learnt.
